4)none of the above

answer

1)japan

Other details

he Japanese space agency said that it has made history by successfully landing two unmanned rovers on an asteroid.

"The two rovers are in good condition and are transmitting images and data," the agency, JAXA, said on 22 September after the rovers separated from the Hayabusa2 spacecraft and landed on the asteroid Ryugu.

The rovers are collectively known as MINERVA-II1

The space agency reported that MINERVA-II1 is the world's first mobile exploration robot to land on the surface of an asteroid.

The Hayabusa2 began its approach to Ryugu from an orbiting altitude of around 20 km on 21 September afternoon.

As the craft approached to within 100 metres of the space rock, it sent back a photo showing Hayabusa2's shadow projected onto its barren, cratered surface.

Beneath their desolate surfaces, asteroids are believed to contain a rich treasure-trove of information about the formation of the solar system billions of years ago.

The 1 km-wide space rock, which is shaped like a diamond, is expected to be "rich in water and organic materials", allowing scientists to "clarify interactions between the building blocks of Earth and the evolution of its oceans and life, thereby developing solar system science", according to JAXA.

A series of specially designed cameras — four on the first rover and three on the second — will take stereo images of the asteroid's surface.

The rovers are also equipped with temperature gauges and optical sensors as well as an accelerometer and a set of gyroscopes.

A third rover called MASCOT will be launched from Hayabusa2 in early October,

After examining the far distant object and taking samples, Hayabusa2 will depart Ryugu in December 2019 before returning to Earth by the end of 2020 with its cargo of samples.

If successful, JAXA has said it will be the "world's first sample return mission to a C-type asteroid".

answer

1) Germany

Other details

Two trains built by the French train maker Alstom are now operating on a 62 mile stretch of line in northern Germany

Germany has rolled out the world’s first hydrogen-powered train, signalling the start of a push to challenge the might of polluting diesel trains with costlier but more eco-friendly technology.

Two  trains, built by French TGV-maker Alstom, on Monday began running a 62 mile (100km) route between the towns and cities of Cuxhaven, Bremerhaven, Bremervoerde and Buxtehude in northern Germany  a stretch normally plied by diesel trains.

Alstom plans to deliver another 14 of the zero-emissions trains  by 2021, while other German states have also expressed an interest.

Hydrogen trains are equipped with fuel cells that produce electricity through a combination of hydrogen and oxygen, a process that leaves steam and water as the only emissions.

Excess energy is stored in ion lithium batteries on board the train.

The Coradia iLint trains can run for about 600 miles (1,000km) on a single tank of hydrogen, similar to the range of diesel trains.

Alstom is betting on the technology as a greener, quieter alternative to diesel on non-electrified railway lines  an attractive prospect to many German cities scrambling to combat air pollution.

Other countries are also looking into hydrogen trains, including Britain, the Netherlands, Denmark, Norway, Italy and Canada.

In France, the government has already said it wants the first hydrogen train to be on the rails by 2022.

8 September was declared international literacy day by UNESCO on 26 October 1966 at 14th session of UNESCO's General conference.

It was celebrated for the first time in 1967.

Its aim is to highlight the importance of literacy to individuals, communities and societies. Celebrations take place in several countries

Some 775 million adults lack minimum literacy skills; one in five adults are still not literate and two-thirds of them are women; 60.7 million children are out-of-school and many more attend irregularly or drop out.

According to UNESCO’s "Global Monitoring Report on Education for All (2006)" South Asia has the lowest regional adult literacy rate (58.6%), followed by sub-Saharan Africa (59.7%). Countries with the lowest literacy rates in the world are Burkina Faso (12.8%), Niger (14.4%) and Mali (19%).

The report shows a clear connection between illiteracy and countries in severe poverty, and between illiteracy and prejudice against women.

Coca-Cola is hoping to give itself another caffeine-fueled boost.

The company said  it will buy the Costa coffee brand from British firm Whitbread for 3.9 billion pounds (USD 5.1 billion) in cash.

Costa is Britain's biggest coffee company, with over 2,400 coffee shops in the UK and another 1,400 in more than 30 international markets.

The deal, expected to complete in the first half of 2019, plugs a big hole in Coca-Cola's portfolio, giving it a presence in one of the few beverage markets it doesn't currently contend in. It could potentially provide stiff competition to the likes of Starbucks.

Hot beverages is one of the few remaining segments of the total beverage landscape where Coca-Cola does not have a global brand,  said James Quincey, Coca-Cola President & CEO.

In the year to March, Costa made an operating profit of 123 million pounds on sales of 1.29 billion.

The deal represents a big return to Whitbread, which bought Costa in 1995 for 19 million pounds. Since then, Costa has grown from just 39 shops.

In recent years, Whitbread has invested heavily in Costa's expansion overseas, but had been looking to siphon off the business to generate funds for the expansion and for its other business, the budget hotel chain Premier Inn.

Whitbread will use a "significant majority" of the net cash proceeds around 3.8 billion pounds after taking into account such things as transaction costs returning cash to shareholders. Some will be used to pay down debt and to make a contribution to the pension fund.

Coca-Cola, or Coke is a carbonated soft drink  manufactured by The Coca-Cola Company. Originally intended as a patent medicine, it was invented in the late 19th century by John Pemberton and was bought out by businessman Asa Griggs Candler, whose marketing tactics led Coca-Cola to its dominance of the world soft-drink market throughout the 20th century.

World's first 4D printing for ceramics developed

World's first 4D printing for ceramics developed

Scientists have successfully developed the world's first 4D printing for ceramics, that can be used to create complex, shape-changing objects.

4D printing is conventional 3D printing combined with the additional element of time as the fourth dimension, where the printed objects can re-shape or self-assemble themselves over time with external stimuli, such as mechanical force, temperature, or a magnetic field.

Researchers from the City University of Hong Kong made use of the elastic energy stored in the stretched precursors for shape morphing.

When the stretched ceramic precursors are released, they undergo self-reshaping. After heat treatment, the precursors turn into ceramics.

Ceramic has a high melting point, so it is difficult to use conventional laser printing to make ceramics.

The existing 3D-printed ceramic precursors, which are usually difficult to deform, also hinder the production of ceramics with complex shapes.

To overcome these challenges, researchers developed a novel ceramic ink, which is a mixture of polymers and ceramic nanoparticles.

The resultant elastomer-derived ceramics are mechanically robust.

They can have a high compressive strength-to-density ratio, and they can come in large sizes with high strength compared to other printed ceramics.

With the arrival of 5G networks, ceramic products will play a more important role in the manufacture of electronic products.

The artistic nature of ceramics and their capability to form complex shapes also provide the potential for consumers to create custom ceramic mobile phone backplates.
