 World Day For Animals In Laboratories (WDAIL) (also known as World Lab Animal Day)  is observed every year on 24 April.

The week has come to be known as "World Week for Animals In Laboratories".

The National Anti-Vivisection Society (NAVS) describe the day as an "international day of commemoration" for animals in laboratories.


World Day For Animals In Laboratories was established in 1979 by the British National Anti-Vivisection Society (NAVS)

The Monte Carlo tennis championship was first held in 1897. It became an "Open" event in 1969.

Rafael Nadal won the title eight consecutive times between 2005 and 2012, making him the only player to win eight consecutive titles at the same tournament.

The International Day for Monuments and Sites(World Heritage Day) is an international observance held on 18 April each year around the world with different types of activities, including visits to monuments and heritage sites, conferences, round tables and newspaper articles.
