14th East Asia and Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP)

14th East Asia and Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP) summit was held in Bangkok .

The East Asia Summit (EAS) is a unique leader led platform of the Asia-Pacific where they hold discussions on various development aspects in the region.

The agenda for the today’s East Asia Summit is to review the future direction of EAS cooperation and exchange views on regional and international issues.

On the other hand, RCEP is a comprehensive free trade agreement being negotiated between ASEAN nations and ASEAN’s free trade agreement partners that include India and China among others.

The Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP) is a proposed free trade agreement (FTA) between the ten member states of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) (Brunei, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam) and its six FTA partners (China, Japan, India, South Korea, Australia and New Zealand).
