Russia successfully tested its latest intercontinental ballistic missile (ICBM) Sarmat.

 ICBM Sarmat was launched  from Plesetsk in northwestern Russia.

The RS-28 Sarmat (  named after the Sarmatians ) is a Russian liquid-fueled, MIRV-equipped, superheavy thermonuclear armed intercontinental ballistic missile, in development by the Makeyev Rocket Design Bureau  since 2009
