World Hindi Day is celebrated on January 10 every year.
Its aim is to create awareness for the spread of Hindi in the world and to present Hindi as an international language.

In various government offices, lectures are organized in Hindi on various subjects. World Hindi conferences were started with the aim of developing and disseminating Hindi in the world and
the first World Hindi Conference was held in Nagpur on January 10, 1975, hence this day was celebrated as 'World Hindi Day' goes.
Former Prime Minister of India Manmohan Singh announced on January 10, 2006 the celebration of World Hindi Day every year .
Since then, the Indian Foreign Ministry had celebrated World Hindi Day for the first time on January 10, 2006.
