World Students' Day is marked on Dr. A. P. J. Abdul Kalam's birthday, 15 October.
In 2010 the United Nations declared 15 October "World Students' Day".
Avul Pakir Jainulabdeen Abdul Kalam was an Indian aerospace scientist who served as the 11th President of India from 2002 to 2007.
