Taiwanese President Tsai Ing-wen re-elected for a second term

Current President Tsai Ing Wen won the highest vote share by a DPP candidate. His Democratic Progressive Party won the 2020 Taiwan presidential election and was re-elected for a second term with a historic record of 8.17 million votes (57.1 percent).

Tsai Ing-wen is a Taiwanese politician and academic serving as the President of the Republic of China, commonly known as Taiwan, since 20 May 2016.

The first woman to be elected into office, Tsai is the seventh president of the Republic of China and the second president of the Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) under the 1947 constitution; Part of Taiwan's pan-green alliance
