India recorded highest number of babies born on New Year's Day
An estimated 67,385 children were born in India, the highest number of births recorded worldwide on New Year's Day according to United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) .
the UN children's agency said 392,078 babies were born globally on New Year's Day and India ranked on the top with 67,385 births.
According to the UN agency, over half of the births have taken place in eight countries.
