Finland elected Sanna Marin, the youngest-ever Prime Minister

Finland elected a 34-year-old former transport minister to the post of the prime minister, making her the youngest head of government in the country's history.

Sanna Marin will replace outgoing leader Antti Rinne

Parliament is expected to formally swear in the new prime minister tomorrow.

Sanna Mirella Marin is a Finnish politician. A Social Democrat, she has been member of the Parliament of Finland since 2015 and the Minister of Transport and Communications since 6 June 2019.

Finland is a Northern European nation bordering Sweden, Norway and Russia.
