Karen Bradley named new Northern Ireland secretary
Karen Bradley has been named as the new Northern Ireland Secretary of State.
Bradley, MP for Staffordshire Moorlands, was formerly in the Department of Culture, Media and Sport
She has been serving as MP for Staffordshire Moorlands since 2010.
She became Home Office minister in 2014.
She took over as Northern Ireland Secretary of State after James Brokenshire
she was appointed by UK prime minister Theresa May
James Brokenshire was appointed Northern Ireland secretary in July 2016
