Rohit Sharma became first Indian to score 5 ODI century in Australia

Indian opening batsman Rohit Sharma scored his 22nd century in the first ODI against Australia in Sydney.

This is Sharma’s 7th ODI century against Australia,

 but it is the fifth time he has scored a century  in Australia.

 He had previously also scored a double century  against Australia,  in 2013, in Bengaluru where he scored 209 in 158 balls.

Sharma surpassed wicketkeeper Adam Gilchrist to become the third highest-run scorer in ODIs between the two countries
