Macedonian parliament ratified name change to North Macedonia
The agreement was reached between Greek prime minister Alexis Tsipras and his Macedonian counterpart Zoran Zaev.
The language of the country would be referred to as Macedonian and its people known as Macedonians
The two countries struck the deal on the new name in June, but Macedonia will start using it only after the parliament in Athens also ratifies the agreement.
Eighty-one members in the 120-seat parliament voted in favour.
this will help Macedonia's entry into European Union and Nato organisation
